This site is intended to provide Moon Township taxpayers with information and assistance with interactions with the property tax office.
My name is John Wink and I am Property Tax Collector. My term ends December 31, 2025.
I have appointed a Deputy Tax Collector, Jordan Tax Service to assist in the day-to-day operations to provide a full-service collection process to Moon Township property owners and residents. A Customer Service Representative may be reached Monday through Friday, {8:00 AM to 4:30 PM)

The Township of Moon property taxes for 2024 will be billed on April 1, 2024. The tax rate for 2024 remains the same as 2023. Township taxes can be paid at a 2% discount until May 31,2024.
The Moon Area School District property taxes will billed on July 1, 2024. . The tax rate for School taxes will be determined in June when the School Board establishes the budget for the 2024-25 school year. School taxes can be paid at a 2% discount until August 31, 2024.
The Moon Township Tax Office will remain in the same location as before – 1700 Beaver Grade Rd, Suite 300 (Lower Level). The office hours for the Tax Office will be as follows:

The tax office will be open Monday, December 2, 2024. Additional open hours will be announced when the tax bills for 2024 are mailed:

There is a drop box outside the exterior door to the tax office where payments can be left. Payments left in the drop box will be considered received as of the last date the tax office was open. Payments sent to Jordan Tax Service or the Tax Office via USPS will be considered timely based on the postmark date. Please include a stamped, self-addressed return envelope if you want a receipt returned to you.

For billing address changes please notify the tax office or Jordan Tax Service. Also, be sure to update the address with the Allegheny County Treasurer.

IMPORTANT
ONLY THE CURRENT TAX YEAR, now 2024, is permitted to be collected in the local Moon Township Property Tax Office. For tax year 2023 or before, all delinquent and unpaid taxes were turned over to the delinquent tax collection agency. For Moon Township (municipal) taxes the delinquent tax collector is Jordan Tax Service (724-731-2311. For the Moon Area School District taxes, that agency is the Law Offices of Weiss, Burkardt, and Kramer(412-391-0160). Additional costs will be added to the 10% penalty amount of the tax by that agency. All delinquent payments should be sent to:
